Yesterday, Mariah and Pier Pressure Charter Fishing took part in the annual Jim Fohle Memorial fishing trip. About 70 local veterans met their captains in historic Fishtown to board one of the many charter fishing boats that are part of the renowned Leland fleet, then set out on beautiful Lake Michigan for a fishing trip of a lifetime. While the vets were out reeling in lake trout and enjoying the afternoon, volunteers were back in the Leland harbor prepping for the fish fry dinner that takes place upon the boats' return. MPP Charters is honored to be a part of this event each year and to have the chance to recognize these honorable men and women for the service they have given to our country. I am a 72 yr old disabled veteran. I am very interested in going on a fishing trip in 2022. I served in the United States Navy from 1968-1972. I have enjoyed fishing all my life and like most vets my age I am on a fixed income and cannot afford a trip like this otherwise.
